Terms and Conditions

All pat testing work will be carried out according to the Institute of Electrical Engineers (lEE) Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.

Because the lEE code of practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment does not deal with the legislation relating to the supply of equipment, whether new or second-hand, to a third party by way of sale or other method Mobil8 will not test any equipment which is indented for supply to a third party. Any equipment made available for supply at any time after being tested by Mobil8 will null and void the test results.

Any previous records of tests must be made available to Mobil8 before testing begins.

A competent person shall be provided by the customer to meet our Mobil8 technician, to advise on any site safety information needed and any potential hazards when working at the customer's premises & to also ensure availability of appliances for pat testing.

Mobil8 accepts no liability for Injury, loss or damage for appliances that are not made available or are inaccessible during the agreed pat testing / inspection period.

The customer shall ensure that any critical information or data has been protected / backed up prior to the start of inspection and testing.

Mobil8 provides Insurance cover for public liability. No liability is accepted for business interruption, loss of data or business information, losses to business related services or loss to business profits.

Mobil8 accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage for appliances that are found to be faulty before or after pat testing.

All pat testing is carried out solely at the appliance owner's risk.

Electrical repairs are not undertaken as Mobil8 is a test and certification organisation and is not legally allowed nor insured to do so.


Minimum Charge

Please note that a minimum charge applies to each separate location. A location is defined as an area where test sites are adjacent or within 100 metres of each other,

If separate reports and certificates are required they will be treated as individual locations and a minimum charge will apply.


Invoices and Payment

Payment is due within 10 days from date of invoice, which will be sent by post.

The ownership of test results remains the property of Mobil8 until all invoices are raid In full.

Results are kept on record in our database and a copy can be requested for an additional fee.

certificate will only be issued once Mobil8 is in receipt of cleared funds and any outstanding invoices are paid in full.

Cancellation Charges

Where less than 48 hours’ notice is given a charge of £50 will be levied. If the premises are closed or the engineer cannot gain access it will be assumed that the job has been cancelled.
